Maximizing still kills the dynamic range, although much nicer than alot of things i've used, one of those things being the Finalizer Express. ie: if L1 will let you boost 10 db, only use 7.5. I absolutely love it, but i heed the advice of an engineer that i heard say "only use about 75% of the maximum level it will give you". I've not used the L2, but have been using the L1 plug-in for some time now.
